Here's what you need:
PAVLOVA - NZ'S NATIONAL DESSERT!
Ingredients:
4 Egg Whites, 1 Pinch Salt, 1 Cup Castor Sugar, 1 tsp Vanilla Essence, 2 tsp Cornflour (Cornstarch), 1 tsp Vinegar
First, preheat your oven to 150C.
Beat the egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form.
Gradually add the castor sugar beating all the time, it is most important to ensure that all sugar is completely dissolved.
Lightly fold the cornstarch, vinegar and essence into the mix.
Turn the mixture out into the centre of a baking tray, with baking paper on the bottom, and shape into a circle, but don't let it touch the sides. Turn the oven down to 140C and bake for 15 minutes, then turn the oven down to 120C and bake for a further 1 1/4 hours.
Let it cool in the oven, you could make in the evening and let sit overnight. Top with fresh whipped cream, strawberries and kiwifruit. Delicious!
